HOW TO GET WORLD CUP HAIR

The World Cup is in full swing now, but for Jacks it isn’t all about the goals. We’ve been doing a bit of style spotting along the way to find the most world cup worthy hair and beards. So if you fancy getting yourself a pitch perfect look, check out our article below for what to ask for when you visit your barber….

Dele Alli

What’s the style? Dele has left his hair to grow long, which can sometimes look untidy, so he’s gone for a taper fade to sharpen up the area around the ears and hairline. It’s a great way of having length while still looking sharp.

What do I ask my Barber for?  A Taper Fade leaving length on the top.

What product do I need? Jacks of London Urban Hold Salt Spray and oil’s such as Moroccan Oil to keep the hair in place and moisturised.

Harry Kane

What’s the style? Kane’s hair appears to be a scissor cut, or it could be a long clipper grade. Scissors give the hair a slightly softer finish than clippers, while a long clipper grade leaves the hair more flush so it can look tidy for longer.

What do I ask my Barber for? A Classic scissor cut.

What product do I need? Use American Crew’s Texture Foam before blow drying to hold it in place. If it sits back with ease then a medium-hold product like American Crew’s Fiber Cream or Liquid Wax is fine.

David De Gea

What’s the style? The Spanish goalie is sporting an undercut with a top knot/ponytail, suggesting the top knot trend isn’t over.

What do I ask my Barber for? Undercut with a top knot

What product do I need? For hair that is a little fluffy, medium-hold product, like American Crew Spray Gel, will flatten stray hairs. Apply it with the hair wet, then dry it to flatten the flyaways.

Sergio Ramos

What’s the style? Ramos is keeping his hair short all over. There’s little needed in the way of maintenance apart from more frequent visits to a barber to maintain the look.

What do I ask my Barber for? A clipper cut – #4 on the sides and #8 on the top. Or you could ask for a short scissor cut.

What product do I need? You will need something a little sticky, like some American Crew Fiber Cream or Forming Cream, to keep it in shape.

Olivier Giroud

What’s the style? The French striker has a similar style to Harry Kane, but the sides are much shorter and the top is longer. The sides will be clipper-cut, which means more frequent tidying up at the barbers. You may also want to ask your barber to tidy up your beard to finish the look.

What do I ask my Barber for? #2 clipper cut back and sides, with the top left longer and styled similar to a pompadour look.

What product do I need? The top, being longer, can seem heavy, so needs blow-drying back into place with a brush and some Jacks of London Urban Hold Salt Spray. Followed by a firm hold styling product such as Jacks of London Head Strong Defining Paste, to hold it in place. We would also recommend the American Crew Beard Cleanser and Beard Balm to keep your facial hair clean and in good condition.

Our Returns Policy

We will only accept returns if the goods are unopened, unused and are in a resalable condition. By this we mean that all packaging and or cellophane wrapping and tamper resistant seals must be intact.

If this is not the case then the item cannot be returned. If the goods are faulty or damaged please contact us on customerservices@jacksoflondon.co.uk or 01428 717479 and we will advise you on the next step.

Customers would bear the full cost of returning the goods. Any damaged or defective items would be replaced without charge and the cost of return postage refunded. Please keep proof of postage. Jacks of London will replace any faulty items with the same product, however if the product is no longer available, will refund the original card used to make the purchase. Our returns policy is valid for 28 days from receipt of goods.

Credit card refunds would be to the card used for the original purchase. Allow at least 2 billing cycles for your credit to appear on your card statement.

Shipping policy

We will dispatch your order on the day of receipt if we receive your order before our 2pm cut off time on weekdays, and if we have the order in stock. Weekend orders will ship on the following Monday unless it is a Bank Holiday.

If we do not have your order in stock, we will contact you by e-mail or telephone. We will inform you when we expect that part of the order to arrive and you will be given the opportunity to cancel that part of the order. Alternatively we may send your order in more than one package if some items are not in stock; however we will only charge you one postage fee.

Jacks of London uses Royal Mail as its shipping company. Please allow a total delivery time of 3-5 business days for UK addresses (although items are likely to arrive sooner) for all Royal Mail First Class packages.

For Next Day Delivery packages Jacks of London uses Royal Mail’s Next Day Service. Delivery is guaranteed next business day before 5:30PM. Your valid order must be with us before 2pm to guarantee dispatch on the day of your order.

At this time Jacks of London are only able to deliver to addresses within the UK and Ireland.
